Clear out the patio border by the fence and replant

Move the two Skimmia plants. They are totally overshadowed by everything else in the central patio bed. Perhaps they would be better suited down the shady end of the garden near the ash trees.

Bark the wildlife area of the garden. It will be far more suitable for wildlife than gravel. Possibly bark the end of the garden as well, then in autumn the leaves from the ash trees can be added to provide a better habitat for wildlife. The only areas that need to be gravel are the central bed and the areas near the pathways.

Find someone to cut the ash trees by half, after the leaves have fallen.
